I'm a 6 foot 3, 285 pound teddy bear. I'm an only child who was raised by a single mother in a small town in Colorado of the United States. I'm a senior at Colorado State University studying Health and Exercise Science. My goal is to get my Master's in the same subject also at Colorado State, and eventually do research on neurological disorders. I'm currently studying abroad in New Zealand at Lincoln University for one semester. After that, I'm doing a small trip around various parts of the world, and mostly Europe. I've always been able to make people around me laugh very easily, regardless if we have been friends for five minutes or 10 years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard great things about various friends of mine couchsurfing. The experiences they've had, and the people they've met have interested me in couchsurfing. Plus, I will be traveling Europe by myself for around 3 weeks and I figured couchsurfing would be more fun and cheaper than hostels every night.

Interests

I really love all sports , but basketball is by far my favorite to watch and play. I also love learning, meeting new people, having a nice glass of wine or pint of beer, and making sure everyone around me, myself included, is having a great time!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like all music except for country. I tend to listen mostly to rap, alternative/progressive/indie rock and electronic music.

Movies: I can't say there are many movies I don't like. My favorite genres would have to be comedy and action though.

Books: Some of my favorite books I have read lately are; textbooks. The Sunflower, The Ferrari and the Ant, Hillbilly Elegy, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, The Coddling of the American Mind, and The Righteous Mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing is very arbitrary, but I did the Nevis Bungee Jump in Queenstown, New Zealand completely naked! (134 Meters)

Met and shook the hand of the Mayor of Istanbul, Turkey.

Scuba dived the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
