We have a new baby! So we're taking a break from hosting for a while. We'll be back eventually.

ABOUT ME

We both love learning. We especially like finding out new things about different cultures and backgrounds from around the world and different parts of the US. Ethan teaches English to high school kids who are mostly immigrants or refugees, and Meehea interacts with people all over the world through her job as an illustrator.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting new people and learning about their lives. Whether you're from a different country or somewhere nearby, we know you have a story to tell. Obviously, budget greatly affects how much you get to do while you're traveling, so we want to help you save every penny you can by giving you a place to stay and maybe sharing a meal or two. We love knowing locals when we travel because it saves the time and energy of having to figure out public transportation/directions alone. Plus, locals can give good advice about where to go, what to see, what to eat, etc. As hosts, we hope that people pay it forward and help others out in the future. Also, we may want to stay at your house one day! :)

Interests

Luckily, our biggest interests are also what we do for work! Meehea does a variety of art-mostly digital. She does freelance work and also works for a company here in Arlington. She loves hanging out with her boss's kids. Ethan teaches English at the high school right down the road. For fun, he plays guitar and drums.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Ethan loves American Football, Owen, Toe, Brand New, Explosions in the Sky.
Meehea listens to Adelle, The Lumineers, Regina Spektor, Muse, etc.
Movies: Ethan- Point Break, The Count of Monte Cristo, The Book of Eli, V for Vendetta, The Dark Knight, The Fast and the Furious franchise.
Meehea likes slower movies and animated films. We both like Marvel films.
Books: Ethan loves everything Edgar Allan Poe. He's into Kurt Vonegut's short stories but thinks the novels are overrated. He's also into YA Lit, especially graphic novels.
Meehea loves Harry Potter and Jane Austen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our place is nice and calm. We live in the basement of an older couple's house, so you won't have to worry about loud noise or partying (if you are looking for that, maybe check around with other hosts). Feel free to use our cooking stuff, appliances, shower, whatever you need. We'll try to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
