Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.
ABOUT ME
All about new experiences, it takes a lot to scare me and I'll try anything twice to be sure I actually hate it. Am on a mission to round out my young adult life by seeing some of the world before the apocalypse.
PHILOSOPHY
Regardless of any vague notions of an afterlife or karma or whatever, I believe that doing good in this world will result in the world being good to you. I pay it forward with no thoughts of gaining interest, and look forward to dying in peace after a life full of sublime experiences and the knowledge that I've treated others as fairly as anyone deserves to be treated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am specifically seeking hosts for me and my girlfriend. In the future I absolutely plan to host people that are seeking refuge from the road.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Went on a 3 month road trip in 2014 with 3 other dudes and would not have been able to experience some of the places we wanted to visit without the help of couchsurfing. We met many cool people that way and learned that some are reserved and will stay to themselves while others are looking to crack a beer with you and ask for or give ideas on how to have a fun time in the city. We are the latter.
Interests
Anything thought provoking, funny, delicious, dark, heavy, scary, thrilling, beautiful, and/or uplifting. I love talking to people about their interests and finding the parallels between us and discovering new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything written by Cormac McCarthy (The Road), Philip K. Dick (Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?), Haruki Murakami (1Q84), William Gibson (Neuromancer), Stephen King (The Gunslinger), etc. Mostly sci-fi and some non-fiction stuff like The Elegant Universe, The Singularity is Near, etc
Anything directed by Guillermo Del Torro (Pan's Labyrinth), Stanley Kubrik (2001 A Space Odyssey), Darren Aronofsky (The Fountain), etc.
And anything recorded/composed by Lamb of God, Noisia, Chopin, Debussy, or other metal, electronica, folk, classical, jam, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen an endangered sea turtle crawl from the ocean, dig a nest in the sand, lay a hundred eggs, then carefully hide them before returning to the sea for another year.
Teach, Learn, Share
Interested in any kind of problem solving. I have been a live sound engineer for the last 4 years, have worked in a recording studio, and currently freelance as a flexible audio engineer, as well as playing guitar, piano, and using computer based music software like Ableton Live and Reason. I have fair knowledge of electronics, automobiles, math, and love the sciences. I feel like I can brag about my cooking skills as well as my work ethic, and love learning new skills quickly.
Interested in learning more about all the things listed above as well as writing, art (mixed media), video, photography, and how to make the world a better place.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cooking a meal, contributing to the chores, and sharing some laughs and stories.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Honduras, Italy, Mexico
