About Me

I'm an aspiring drifter. I'm currently working to shed the financial chains that are holding me down so that I might travel the world and truly be a citizen of it. People fascinate and inspire me, I hope to find a manner of living that will indulge the lifestyle I dream of.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm doing a bit of traveling now and hope to get familiar with the life style I'm trying to adopt. Couch Surfing will probably become a big part of my life in the future, but for now I'm just testing the waters.

Interests

I am deeply interested in visual arts, my skill at creating them isn't so great though. I am a bit of geek and play quite a few games.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an incredibly diverse appreciation for music, from Yanni to Chiodos. Lately I've been really into Massive Attack and Broken Bells.

In Bruges is my favorite movie, I've seen it probably 6 or 7 times. I also really enjoyed the 10th Kingdom, the Illusionist, and Pulp Fiction.

The Kite Runner and the Windup Bird Chronicle are the only adult-ish books I really got into.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The crowning achievement of my life actually happened when I was very young, I won a national art contest in the third grade, the Crayola Dreammakers contest. My art work is supposed to be on permanent display at the National Department of Education in Washington D.C.. Whether or not it's actually there I can't say, I was living in Germany when I won the contest, and have never had the opportunity to go and see it for myself since I first drew it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a bit about computers, video games, art, psychology, neuroscience and eastern religions, and philosophy. Philosophy in particular is something I can talk about at length.
I love to share stories of my experiences although to date most of them are just the wild experiences of flowering youth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook only a few things well, but when I do they are delicious. I can also troubleshoot most computer issues for you, I currently have a job with a reputable IT group and I've got the general know how to fix most software issues, and a few hardware as well but I don't carry spare pc parts with me.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Japan, United States
