About Me

Traveling about

ABOUT ME

I've been traveling off and on for four years. I like the forest, and mountains, and new cultures and people. I like growing food, and learning new ways of growing food. I am still learning about a lot of things - hopefully about everything.

That's all I've got for personal description at the moment!

PHILOSOPHY

That is something that I would not try to summarize in a written paragraph. In any case, it is constantly shifting, but with a continuity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed some couches when I first moved to Flagstaff. Then found places to stay again when I traveled across Turkey. Met cool and interesting people in both instances. If I some day have a couch to offer, I'll certainly make it available!

Interests

Beautiful landscapes, animal behavior, sheep, growing any kind of food, canning, pickling, piano, guitar, history, crafts/trades I am not skilled in, dumpster diving, hiking, exploring, hitchhiking, dreaming, thinking.... I am interested in anything if it is interesting.

A lot of different stuff

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in the Adirondacks on a windy rainy day was pretty amazing and beautiful. The way the clouds part briefly to show you how much land is really below you before the fog rolls in and obscures it again. Pretty cool.

Also seeing little soft green squash seedlings become mighty vines, and then watching them dry out and die, and pulling in the ripe squash.

Also recently getting a ride across the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway. It was crazy being on a highway surrounded by water like that!
