i've officially been a student most of my life, majored in comparative literature in college. i'm currently getting my phd in new york. i write forever. here and there, and most recently, i've been teaching. i try to make art using language, sometimes accompanied by photos, images, and voice recordings. i like listening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

driving to jesus hill in LA in the middle of the night with my friend on her birthday when an elk stood before my car and stared us down, its glowing eyes reflecting against the beams i quickly turned off, then let us pass and discover the rest of his or her family hidden in the brush along the trail ahead of us.
