About Me

I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, studied in Boston Massachusetts and Alicante, Comunidad Valenciana, Spain, and now currently live in Colombia. Ironically change, especially change of scenery, has been one of the most consistent elements of my life. All of that moving around has made me really appreciate different cultures: from the languages and dialects that others speak, to the different foods, religious beliefs, and any other defining qualities they may have. With that being said, I wouldn't describe myself as much of a traveler. When I go to a new place, I much prefer to live there and really immerse myself in the culture than be there as a tourist. I want to live in as many different countries as possible throughout my life because I think that different cultures can teach us a lot about the way we approach challenges in life, and how best we can relate to one another. In this way, I'm hoping I will have a lot of learning opportunities ahead of me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Generally, I want to meet new people that can give me a local's perspective when I travel somewhere new.

Interests

I love learning new things. I'm extremely curious about life in general and try to learn new things, whether it be a new language, a new recipe, or some other skill, whenever I can.
