About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel where whim takes me, to stay where the place strikes me, to live freely
ABOUT ME
I'm a California boy, born and raised in Santa Barbara. I dropped out of preschool when I was four years old and began my education as a homeschooler, which continued until I began college. I went to Santa Barbara City College until I transferred to Pitzer College in 2007. Throughout my life, I have loved to travel. My family enjoyed many road trips through the Western States, as well as a trip to Mexico. I continued to travel on my own, going to Mexico multiple times, as well as Guatemala and Israel.
I'm very active. I enjoy doing anything involving body movement
PHILOSOPHY
I have homeschooled for my whole life. This has really formed my view of life as a continuous learning experience, with school being only one of many, many experiences by which we gain knowledge and develop our identities. Traveling is my favorite form of learning, and I have learned more from my traveling experiences than from any other experience I've had.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I have a stable home of my own, I host surfers. When I cannot, I offer to show them around the place I live. When i surf, I try to be the best guest possible, and make a great experience for my host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far, I have done a lot of informal Couchsurfing with friends of friends, and have done two real Couchsurfing experiences, which were great! I am traveling around Europe right now and trying to make the trip as cheap as possible, but meet a lot of cool people at the same time, so CS is pretty much the perfect combination of the two. I am very excited about my next CS experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Road-tripping and backpacking through Mexico and Guatemala, with only some itinerary and few plans - to travel freely, without anything tying me down or keeping me from staying somewhere for weeks, was such an amazing experience, I don't know how I could travel otherwise.
Teach, Learn, Share
"The fully mature person has got just two seconds to live" -- Gregory David Roberts, from Shantaram.
I really like this quote because it, in a way, sums up how I would like to live my life. I know I will always be growing and learning, and there is no point at which my growth as a person will stop, until I am no longer living.
