About Me

I'm active person, enjoying art, photography, music, city squares full of live, mountains and nature.

I live with my husband Izaak. He is 4 years older than me.
Now we are a family of three - our doughter Irma was born in June 2015.

I don't drink coffee, I don't smoke, from some time I also don't drink alcohol...
We both drink a lot of tea. Izaak also likes cider very much.

In the past:
I used to work as a home therapist with children with special needs. But in January I quited my job and now I'm traveling, mostly doing wwoofing or workaway - volunteering on different projects and organic farms around Europe. I spend February in Portugal, then I went to Spain, in May I was in Belgium, then in France... To be continued. I was also volunteering in some projects connected with children (one of them was in refugees center, another in hospital).

When I travel alone I'm usually taking train, and when I'm traveling with Izaak we like to hitch-hike:)

PHILOSOPHY

"I wanted to live deep
and suck out all the marrow of life.
To put to rout all that was not life.
And not, when I come to die,
discover that I had not lived."
H.D.Thoreau

Live and let others live!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing trips:
First trip - alone: Ostrava, Brno, Wien, Bratislava.
Second - together with Izaak - Wroclaw, Prague, Czesky Raj.
Third - alone in Hungary (Szentendre, Szekesferhervar, Budapest, Szeged, Pecs...) and Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad).
Fourth - together with Izaak in Georgia (Tbilisi, Gori, Batumi, Borjomi) and Armenia (Yerevan).
Fifth - together with Izaak - in Normandy (France).
Some random other places too.

We also used to host people here in Warsaw:) Before we started to hosting I also met some people just to guide them around the city.

Right now we don't host anymore, our doughter is still too small, and we moved to smaller flat. But in the future...

Interests

I enjoy photography:) Especially street life, achitecture, nature, some industrial things too. You can see some of my photos there: https://picasaweb.google.com/111721365345391024334/
I like walking around and looking what's going on around in the city. I also like going on art events and to many of the places and events which are colorful and differ from routine. I enjoy street art. I like active stylelife. And I like meeting new people:) When I travel alone it's always nice to meet somebody new, to have a talk, to get to know somebody who live in the city I visit.
I'm intersted in different cousines, I would also like to learn to do more vegetarian dishes.
Recently I dance balfolk dances. And I enjoy meetings for singing old traditional songs.

About Izaak:
Izaak is interested in music, education and games. He also reads a lot. He was studying philosophy. He was working at Warsaw University of Technology making an educational game about mathemathic. He is a drummer in progressive rock band called Signal to noise ratio ( http://snr.rockmetal.pl ) . He also plays on saxophone, guitar and other instruments... He enjoy improvisation in music and like to jamming. He was living in Denmark for half a year (studying at music school there). He knows English very good and also some Japanese. He enjoys board games, both to play and to design them. And music games - he started http://musicgames.wikidot.com/ and he organises regular meetings with games for musicians in Warsaw.

Recently I listen mostly to modern folk music. Or balfolk.
I like reading reports, interviews, non-fiction things.
And I almost don't watch any movies. And we don't have TV.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Done: Staying alive.

Some others:
Traveling alone
Going with goats to the valleys of Serra da Malcata mountains, among the medieval ruins of mills, far away from mobile connection, hot water etc... (while wwoofing)
Traveling to Georgia and Armenia in wintertime
Growing my own tomatos on my balcony

Seen:
Squats and street art of Berlin. Labyrinth of canals of Venice. Nature of Denmark seasides. Big abandoned factories in Poland. The autistic child that suddenly realise that the sounds of voice have meaning. Mountain forests covered with fog. City squares full of live. Everything...
