Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe in giving and receiving 🌞

+ It seems to me that in order to really feel a place, you ought to start with meeting its people and their way of life ! Traveling is about people really.
I love meeting new human beings, for each one of them is a totally new universe and I can't get enough of it . It's also the people you meet who make you love a place :)

Most of my experiences have been amazing, perfect really, but PLEASE as a host do not accept my request if you don't like having people around, or if you're the kind of host who puts pressure on guests. It is tiring for everyone.
I'll explain myself :
I love to spend time with my hosts, having good talks, hanging out, cooking meals, sharing knowledge, experiences, even making good friends sometimes, just as I can be independant and out of the way if needed, whatever really, as long as it remains easy going - and rest assured, I do not use Couchsurfing as a free hostel. I'll be respectful of your space and grateful for your sharing your place, BUT

Communication is always better ; if you have many great or specific needs, please express them (💙), don't wait for your hosts or surfers to guess about those needs, as it never works.
Bad experiences (either as a guest or a host) have made many people not want to do Couchsurfing anymore, and it's sad, because it's an amazing concept.
It is very uncomfortable to feel like you have to apologize for being in someone's place.
I'd rather go with thankfulness.
