Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Tim.
I like a few different things. Depending on the day, and the time of day, they might include:
Several cups of tea and then dinner.
Sharing thoughts.
Unpretentious, thoughtful conversations.
Caring about my friends.
Thinking about my privilege.
Cooking ridiculous things.
All the fermentation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In a nutshell, I'm on Couchsurfing because it's about sharing and learning, creating connection and friendships, and these are the things that I value the most in the world. Couchsurfing, for me, is an instant network of amazing people around the world. I've hosted dozens of fantastic people in the cities where I've lived, and I have equally had a lot of amazing experiences with hosts.
Interests
I read a lot of oddball, often political things, and get really excited about creative ideas and abstract notions. I sometimes build things out of wood, and am learning how to make things out of clay. I am a diehard food-lover. I care deeply about my friends and friendships. I will drop everything and come meet you anywhere for a coffee and a conversation.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
A while back I drove across Canada by myself, 7000km, Vancouver to Halifax via the north of Québec - that was an adventure!
Teach, Learn, Share
- lots of different cooking skills... preserving, pressure cooking, curries and chinese cooking, cold english pork pies - whatever I feel like cooking!
- I could share some conflict resolution and mediation techniques, if that interests you!
- some French as well, of course
- and my home, if you ever visit where I am!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love for conversation, sharing food, and connecting honestly, deeply and with care :)
