Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I always liked the idea of staying with locals, because it makes travelling other places so much more personal, but I never really got around to doing it, which basically means that I have been lurking around here for quite a while without doing anything. But that's going to change now! Ha!
Hostels are boring, meeting locals is great.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Dystopian novels are always great. Namely: Orwell, A. Huxley, Philip K. Dick. I also keep a few classics around, mainly because they look great on the bookshelf. Ones I actually read and liked were Master and Margarita, Anna Karenina, Heart is a lonely hunter.
Also pretty much everything by Ian McEwan and Haruki Murakami. Those guys are great. Also a lot of biographys and historical books. Currently: Timothy Snyders "Black Earth". Not exactly something you'd take to the beach with you, but highly interesting.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
survived an indian food poisoning. It surely didn't feel like that at the time...
Teach, Learn, Share
In my job, I worked as a trainer for film cameras, and I've been into hobby photgraphy for quite a while. If you're into that and just starting out, I might be able to teach you a thing or two.
