Just finished studying Criminology, i'm currently working in a supermarket to save the pennies for travelling. Also working on learning Spanish just now in order to help me on my way, hopefully i'm not too bad at it by the time I go!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As of the 1st October, I'm going to be visiting Canada and California. Hoping to meet new people and hopefully hear about and visit places that aren't your typical tourist destinations.

Also just love travelling and meeting new people in general. Couchsurfer seems like a good way to do this for this trip, and I will hopefully get to do more in the future.

Interests

Huge sports fan. I play a Scottish sort which is kind of similiar to hockey, but looks a bit wilder called Shinty. Also a regular football player, and a big St.Mirren (don't worry if you've not heard of them) and Manchester United fan. I also play a bit of Golf, Badminton, Basketball, Running and I go to the gym twice a week.
Outside of sport, I'm a big music fan, and used to play the bass guitar, so love talking music and bass. Have a very varied taste in music from ska and reggae to rock and roll.

Music: Arctic Monkeys, Biffy Clyro, The Specials, The Beat, Bob Marley, Kasabian, The Proclaimers, Runrig, Bob Dylan, The Pogues, The Dubliners, AC/DC, The Beatles. Basically i'll listen to anything.

Movies: Anchorman, Star Wars, Lucky Number Slevin, The Departed, Lord of The Rings, Harry Potter, In Brugges, Old School, Das Boot. Again, I like a lot of films!

Books: The Hobbit, Slaughter Man, Runaway, Anything by Christopher Brookmyre

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked around South America for 6 months. Was an incredible experience and would do it again in a minute!

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Hopefully should be able to provide a fair amount of knowledge on all things Scottish.

Learn: Would just love to take in as much as I can about local cultures, especially music, food and sports.

Share: Laughs. Used to play bass guitar so would love to be involved musically. Anything sports based i'd love to try too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think i'm not too bad at household chores, cleaning up, hoovering etc. Quite a tidy person, and my cooking skills are such that I can almost promise no one will fall ill as a result of eating anything I make.
Failing that, i'm a very chatty, friendly person, love having a laugh and telling jokes and stories. Should be able to provide details on anything Scotland related. Big Sports, Music and Movies fan too, but can hold a conversation on almost any topic.
