Overview
About Me
I'm a student studying Geophysics at the University of Edinburgh and I love sports, travelling and food.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love travelling and meeting new people, and don't want to be a typical tourist, I want to experience the local view of the city. As a student, couchsurfing is also a great way to save money!
Interests
I'm a very sporty person, and especially like running. I swim often too, and also cycle, play squash and row. I like to challenge myself, and have done an Olympic distance triathlon. One day I hope to do an Ironman triathlon.
As a University student studying Geophysics, I'm very interested in physics, maths, geography and climate, and enjoy learning new things. I also enjoy learning new languages, and am currently learning Spanish, which I hope to practice more.
Food is one of my favourite things in life, and certainly one of the reasons I love to travel. I love cooking, trying new dishes and experiencing the cuisines of different cultures.
I've always been interested in the world, and how other countries differ from my own. When travelling, although I do like to see the main attractions, it's experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and getting off the tourist track that makes traveling so worthwhile for me.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite band is The Fratellis, who I've seen live a few times so far. I have a wide musical taste and like hearing new stuff, as well as getting recommendations from people.
I'm not a movie expert and there are lots of films I'd like to see. I enjoy foreign films especially, or ones that are a bit different from the norm, such as Pan's Laberinth and Intouchables. Some of my other favourites include The Lion King, The Blues Brothers and The Shawshank Redemption.
My two favourite books are The Book Thief and To Kill a Mockingbird. I enjoy non-fiction books too, especially about physics and geography.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched Albania beat Romania in the Euro 2016 football competion in Mother Teresa Square in Tirana, scoring their first ever goal in a major competition. The atmosphere was insane, and the whole experience was incredible.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm currently travelling, and won't be back home in Edinburgh until September. When I'm back I'd love to show you around my city and potentially provide a bed depending on my flatmates.
