Hi, I'm Euan, I'm 23 years old and grew up in Kenya. I've lived in Mombasa and Nairobi, until I came to the U.S. in 2014 for college. I graduated this summer with a degree in Philosophy and Political Science, although I'm considerably more interested in pursuing videography and writing than finding a job in those fields. I've filmed a couple of documentaries and shoot music/dance videos with my friend Rose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just graduated from Kalamazoo College and I'm moving to Atlanta with my friend Rose, who dances. We're both hoping to make a smooth transition into the city without eating up all of the money we've saved on short term rentals.

We really just need a place to stay and keep the light luggage we're moving with, but we're both really friendly and would love to get to know you.

Interests

I love great conversations with open minded people. We can really go anywhere. AMA -- I'll have an opinion.

I enjoy music a lot and it's one of the major reasons I'm moving to Atlanta. I don't play any instruments, but I've been making music on my laptop since I was 15. First EDM, now beats/instrumentals. I picked up videography in the last year and really love it, so that's what I'm trynna do.

I played tennis for years before college and Ultimate Frisbee while here.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to audiobooks a lot. I think I've consumed 15 so far this summer, which has been a lot, even for me. I've got a clutch job right now. I listen to a lot of historical nonfiction, self help, biographies, psychology and a few novels here and there. Really, whatever catches my eye.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked for the Kalamazoo College Recycling Dept. for 4 years and probably made over 50 tons of compost in that time.
