Overview
About Me
I concluded my fist masters in music pedagogy at the Slovenian Academy of music. I concluded the second one in Finland at Sibelius academy - in choral conducting.
I conduct to choirs and sing in them.
I teach music in Finnish-English kindergartens.
I have been playing the piano since I was five.
I was teaching at two local music schools in Slovenia, one alternative (rock etc.) in Ljubljana, and the other working by Edgar Willems method, in the touristic and picturesque town of Bled.
I played and sang in two bands: AlterFiction (symphonic progressive metal band) and The Fool (Tool cover band). I postponed my band and teaching activities in Slovenia when I moved to Finland.
Since Slovenia is a country with many mountains, I also enjoy hiking very much, also trips that last for more days. I like walks and runs around Helsinki nature areas.
Fun fact: I'm a ski instructor but unfortunately can’t practice much in southern Finland.
I enjoy encountering different aspects of topics since I believe those experiences are enlightening. I like to travel, meet and hang out with people with innovative ideas and positive mindsets.
I try to enjoy life through working and paying respect to others, by having a good time, and make others have a good time while being around me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Conventional tourism is not my thing. It’s often crowded, artificial and expensive. I’m after real people and real experiences - you know what they say: when in Rome...
Rome, Italy. Loved it.
Stockholm, Sweden. Would do that again anytime!
Oslo, Norway. Amazing city, also due to the great company!
Budapest, Hungary. A friend of a friend of a friend, who turned out to be a really awesome and open minded girl.
Udine, Italy. Or Coloredo di Prato, the centre of the world, really :) awesome turn of events and wonderful people.
Lyon, France. A great and eye-opening experience in being kind and taking care of other people. A peaceful stay during my Willems diploma exams. Thank you very much!
Tampere, Finland. Thanks!!
Wernigerode, Germany. Felt like home!
Barcelona, Spain. For a perfect balance between work and vacation. Gracias!
More to come, I'm sure!

Music, Movies, and Books
Classical music. There is so much left to discover, hear and enjoy, besides the most known composers. I am very grateful to have contact with people who can introduce me to the less known composers, also via studying.
Alternative music. I enjoy going to musical festivals and play in a band, and supporting the local alternative scene.
Books. I should read more. I adopted this habit in my time in Helsinki. Catch 22 by Joseph Heller was the last one.
Movies. I enjoy smart movies. If I should choose a director, I would choose Mr Tarantino.
Series.
Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, Better Call Saul, Breaking Bad, Archer, Rick and Morty, Our Planet documentary series etc. I should probably watch TV less and practice more.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled with the choir I sang in to South Korea and China. Those were my first trips to the other continents, and it was quite a long way. The experience was... interesting. :)
On the personal level: I gave myself in - back to music, after studying law for two years. I feel, in this life, can do so much more now. But there's this trap with the things you love to do: you shouldn't overload yourself so you keep on loving what you do. The search for this balance is neverending and fulfilling.
Teach, Learn, Share
I might give fun musical lessons and enjoy it very much (piano, singing, solfeggio, musical theory lessons etc.).
What I Can Share with Hosts
Laughter and funny faces, not breaking anything and/or killing in the process.
