Overview
About Me
I'm a big, big, big adventurer at heart and love to explore every nook and cranny of the world. Spending time with fellow travelers who have a big heart for culture, food, and good conversation are always welcome. During my professional life, I am a high school teacher doing my best to influence the lives of the younger generation and to inspire them to leave the world a wee bit better than we left it. During my personal time, I have a wide variety of interests that range from camping, backpacking, hiking, wakeboarding, volleyball (preferably sand 2x2), beaches, snowboarding, cooking, painting, and indulging in good food and wine. I am also a very, very big advocate for social justice issues and am always in the market for good-hearted souls who share a mutual interest in social issues (...and have a high level of education regarding race, gender, and equity!).
Also, I'm brand new to Couchsurfing and haven't stayed with a host...yet! I'm hoping to change that this summer and meet several CS hosts throughout my travels. I want to mention this to explain why I don't have any references or friends on this site. But, here is my Instagram so you can verify: eugenekimyoon. Feel free to add me there! Also, here's a Youtube link to CBS National News that shows a little bit more about who I am:

Looking forward to meeting more goodhearted CS'ers around the world and racking up some friendships along the way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've hiked from Mexico to Canada along the Pacific Crest Trail to raise money for a paralyzed stranger to walk again (...if you type my name and the word "CBS National News" into Google, you'll see a video about it.) I've also lived in the Amazon Jungle for 30 days to take part in several lifechanging plant medicine ceremonies.
