ABOUT ME

I am a South Korean college student who goes to college in the United States. I lived in South Korea until finishing middle school and left to the United States for further education. I lived in New Zealand for a year and half when I was in preschool. Although I do not see myself as a frequent traveler, I have some experience in living in different countries, so I am open to learning about and appreciating different cultures. I see myself as more of a Korean than an American, but I am definitely a mix of many different cultures including that of Korea, the United States, and New Zealand. I love meeting new people and learning about them. I am a huge beer fanatic. One of my dreams is to start a brewery. I am currently majoring in Biology and Biomedical Engineering. I usually tend to prefer sub-cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I do not think I have a set personal philosophy yet. I am currently struggling to find the right path between living for myself and living for the happiness of my family. This may sound like a cliche, but I personally think living only for your sake is impossible. I am still exploring.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Although I will be away to serve my country in the military from Dec 2014 to Aug 2016, I am open to making lifelong friends by hosting and surfing. I am planning to participate more in couching surfing after I finish my service.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I do not have any experience in couchsurfing, but I would like to learn more about it year by year by actively participating in it.
