About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy my time off the ship!
ABOUT ME
I work as a 2nd officer/navigator in the Maritime Industry and have sailed in different parts of the world's oceans. I have seen and experienced once in a life time opportunities. I'm very fortunate to have done the things that I've done and hope one day I can pay it forward.
PHILOSOPHY
Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
In recent light of events, every news broadcast or publishing seems to have terrible events and/or "stupid things" that happen around the world. Watching this over and over again can drive a person to lose faith in humanity and begin to wonder if you'll leave earth better than how you were born into it. Then every now and then someone will do something amazing and rekindles that faith. Through couch surfing I have seen this in some of my travels and hope to discover more.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I don't have a home or a couch to offer because my job keeps me away for most of the year so I can't offer a place to crash now but currently I participate by staying with other generous people during my travels who are kind enough to let me in to their homes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have officially couch surfed for the first time during my 3 week August road trip up to Vancouver, B.C., Canada with my friend, Ashly Ogden, but have unofficially couch surfed at the homes of very close friends who have been more than generous.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies- Any movie that looks good. Currently a huge fan of Guardians of the Galaxy but I like classic Adam Sandler movies, documentaries, action, comedy, thrillers, etc. Not a fan of horror movies.
Music- I listen to any kind of music depending on what I'm doing or how I'm feeling. (Pop, alternative, country, electronic, classical, remixes, some rap, etc.)
Books- Do comics count?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most rewarding/challenging experiences so far was the emergency rescue tow of the HMCS Protecteur, as seen in my photo. Ask me about it sometime and I'll go deeper into the details.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love learning anything from new languages, culture, cooking, etc. I can teach a little bit of Korean, how to play the Ukulele and maybe a few other things.
Countries I’ve Visited
Argentina, Barbados, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guam, Mexico, Panama, Peru, South Africa
Countries I’ve Lived In
