ABOUT US

Me and my wife Helen have been together since we were students. I was studying in Ukraine and she went to Poland. Some people ask us how could we make it through the distance, but we think that nothing can ruin the relationship if you love each other. After graduating she returned to Lviv and now we live together. We gonna celebrate our 12th anniversary in August.

We are raising our cat, learning English, and traveling together. She is the initiator of every amazing trip and I'm happy to do it with her. We tried rafting, jumping with a parachute, went to Morocco and our bucket list seem endless. We'd like to see the world and meet new friends. We hope to have a fantastic time in every country and tell stories to our friends in Ukraine about how great it was! We are sure World is waiting for us, so why delay it? :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We started in 2013. A very lovely couple in Milano hosted us and we spend together very nice time, despite they were working during the day, they tell us about interesting places in the city and about their travels. Then we use Couchsurfing to find a host in Amsterdam and Brussels. For a long time, we hadn't a place to host someone, we could only show the city, some good bars or cafes. But after we started to live with my girlfriend together we can offer a couch in our friendly house :)!

Interests

We have some experience practicing Ashtanga yoga. We are not professionals, but we can teach you something if you want to try it :)
On our day off we go to some cafes and bars to try something new. So we can show you Lviv as a food critic ;)
We like to spend evenings with a book, movie, or playing video games (it's my guilty pleasure).
We are constantly learning English it seems that it has no end. :))
We would be happy to travel all the time, but as you know it depends on money and time, so when we have it – we go somewhere abroad.

Music:
White Lies, Foo Fighters, Rise Against, Franz Ferdinand, We are scientists, Enter Shikari, Imagine Dragons, etc.

Literature:
Donna Tartt, Daniel Keyes, Rainer Maria Rilke, Mikhail Bulgakov, Ray Bradbury, and other. We are collecting the best ones for our family library

Movies:
My wife is watching about 150 films per year. So just ask her and she will be glad to recommend you something.

Teach, Learn, Share

In September 2013 we met an interesting friend in Italy and He said "Imagine a summer evening. You with your friends are playing guitar, drinking beer and laughing on some parking place. You feel good and this evening is great. Next day the same parking place will be empty. There will not be nothing special. People are making your evening, your morning or day. You are making this day special, not places. So do it special no matter where you are!
