About Me

Impulsive, curious; easygoing, neither optimistic nor negative: realistic, romantic and Ibelieve I have a will of iron.

I grew up and worked with people from all over the world: my family business was a hostel in El Calafate, Patagonia.

I want to see new places, people, cultures, foods... there's a whole world out there, why staying in a small part of it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So, I've already visited all the mayor European cities, walked to every touristic place, followed the Lonely Planet suggestions, avoided all the chinese hordes, and taken all the brochure pictures... now I want to experience the real Europe! the non touristic-souless one, the food, the real people, the way of being, the secret places, the daily adventures...
I hope that if I stay with locals, I will have a real -and less globalized- idea of places.

Interests

I want to know the world, I want to evolve, to go ahead, to experiment.

I like animals, exercising, beer, women, eating, reading, playing instruments, anime, sleeping, biking.

I like the forest, the mountain, the countryside ... not so much the city, I want adventure! The beach bores me a little, although the sea is a vice -I love the water and I dream of diving among fishes-... fire also has something that attracts me.
I prefer the bar to the disco, I detest overcrowding and shouting to comunicate.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I love blues and rock, but also other genres like swing, hard, electronic, jazz, a little bit of reggae, punk... I play a little bit of guitar.

Movies: I appreciate nice photography, story and dialogues. I do not like the moralistic Hollywood movies attempting to set their concepts of happiness, family, success, love... are those fun? perhaps, but I think they are harmful to society, especially for young people.

Books: the best travel companions! I confess that I would like to read more, but I have other vices too :). Let's avoid the snobbery to see who read more books! Only empathetic purposes, I named some authors I liked: Huxley, Thoreau, Hunter S. Thompson, Oscar Wilde, Marquis de Sade, George Orwell, Plato, Bukowski, Bradbury, Sartre, Burgees, Lovecraft, Burroughs, E. A. Poe, Carlos Castaneda, Camus, Borges, Kerouac , Syms.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Some things I can remember and I'm proud of:

I recorded an album with a rock group when I was 17 years old (you will never hear it, sounds horrible, forget it).

I once organized a social protest in my town, with over 90,000 assistants (in Facebook, wait). The idea was to protect some natural areas against being sold out in an auction to the highest bidder. I was in newspapers, radio and almost television (just because I didn't want to). Because of this social impact, the authorieties stopped the auction, temporaly. Finally it didn't end well, and it was a frustrating experience, I think society is not yet willing to move his ass for a change.

I met a huge penguin when I was 9 years old in Punta Leon, Chubut, Argentina. I was at the beach with my family, he was with his flock. I called hi, he separated from his group and got close to me. It was like 20cm taller than me, I touched him in the chest and head, and then he went back with his group. Mi father was worried as hell because he knew that a penguin´s peak can get through your hand. Nothing happened, only this weird connection with the animal.

And I was in charge of a big contemporary art exhibition in Buenos Aires, over 300 artists! I don't know if it is amazing but I'm proud of it. Dealing with artists is... uff

Teach, Learn, Share

"Ignorante no es quien no sabe, sino quien no quiere aprender".

I want to learn, to discover. Intrigue is one of the best feelings. Knowledge is power.
Jobs, arts, sports, technology, philosophy, recipes, anything! If it is new, I want it

No sé la verdad si puedo enseñar algo, supongo que si! Sé muchas cosas que otras personas no, y viceversa. La tecnología se me dá muy facilmente, por ejemplo. Dame tu PC y la dejaré como nueva.

I'm the ultimate travel guide of my country: if you want to visit Argentina, I can't tell you when, where, what, how so you don't waste time or money.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Experiences, knowledge, meals, drinks, food, good times, profound and trivial talks, bike rides, nighttime outings, adventures and maybe we can play some music.
