ABOUT ME

Now that I'm finally done studying (at least for a while) I can finally do what I'm dreaming about since I got my first Australian travelbook when I was 12: G'day Australia, here I am.

I want to travel around the country, work a bit and experience the spirit of Australia (as it says on the Qantas planes...), get to meet lovely people and live the dream (now that sounds cheezy).

I am a 27-year-old Political Scientist from Dresden in Germany. Very communicative and always eager to hear interesting stories from the people I meet. Interested in how things work, what does what and why is that. Like to play music but sound better just listening to. I am a little bit lazy, or efficient, whatever works better.

PHILOSOPHY

It's not my fault that the world is like it is, though it will be my fault if it stays that way.

Hosted and surfed some nice people and intend on doing so in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I have hosted and surfed a few times in California during my holiday term, which were very pleasurable experiences. Back in Europe there was no option to host, so I had to let it go a bit.

Musica, film e libri

I think I am interested in good movies, good music and good books, and I reserve the right to define good for me.

That said, I quite like the movies Snatch, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Ice Age, Juno, King of California, Old Men in New Cars; I love the music of the Beatsteaks and the books by Bill Bryson and Walter Moers.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

seeing a rattlesnake during a campingtrip in the Mexican desert is a pretty impressive thing to do when you´re afraid of snakes - what surprised me though was, that instead of panicking it was such a calm situation.
one of the happier things i did and will probably remember for a long time is standing in the front row in a small club concert of my favourite band and being completely flashed when it was over.

i know it´s nothing exceptionally interesting, but it´s something, that´s present in my mind. :-)
