About Me

Hello~ name given is Eunice, which means good victory in Greek. However, I got no bloodline from Greece. It's just the parents idea thinking that it would be a cool idea to have a daughter with that name during the 90's. Anyway, I am currently a student studying in a local university in Johor, Malaysia and yes- I am a Johorean. #luaskankuasamu (Our football tagline)

A person who loves to travel through books and stalking people's travelogue, I love the idea of laying down on a beach with a book in hand, on a hammock and perhaps a martini on the other hand? I am in love with sandy sand and salty sea but would also love to explore the different culture that each place can provide- especially in terms of food.

In a nutshell, I am just an ordinary girl who has big dreams but lack of the pocket to do so. I am an easy-going person and love to make friends with people who are fun and enjoys having a good time. Ouh, I blogged too once in a while so just look up "Sleek and Pump" to know more about me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am still lacking on the pocket to travel to places around the world, I guess having those 'places' to come to me would not be a big issue right? By combining the different experiences that people from all around the world could gain, it would be a true pleasure for me to learn and give whatever that I could give in return for those precious moments.

However, since I am still a student, living under the rules of the 'adults', I have nowhere to offer a place to crush for the night. I do have the knowledge and the experience in bringing people around for good food and some fun around the town though. If there is a place that I could call it my own nest in the future, it would definitely be open to the people around the world.

P/s: Do bring a postcard from your country or the previous country you have been in! The idea of postcards with a short and simple message is something that everyone needs to cherished in our modern technology world.

Interests

I had been train in top military (mother's home) to be a book lover and have always been in love with the idea of having a library, housing books with different genes. However, I would say that most of those books would be thriller, actions, and adventures kind. Ouh, and sometimes a little history too. Besides reading, if I got nothing else to do, I would go around looking for new cafes to subdue to my cravings of a good chocolate cake and tea. Once in a while, if I am too lazy to head out, pajamas and youtube would be my hang out buddies for the night.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is an art so it depends on the mood at that moment. If I were to feel crazy and energetic, it would be the latest pop songs but if it is a little on the mellow mood, I would go with Indie music. Best app would be spotify cause it has these moods which help sets things right at times.

As for current read, it would be a book on mothers and their children where it talks generally about families. Speaking about books, I would go back to the old days where Enid Blyton was the top hit for its adventures. She was the person who made me fall in love with stories from different world.

Movie that I would put in my top 5 list would be "The Good Dinosaur" for year 2015. One quote that I love the most would be "You have to get through your fear to see the beauty on the other side." It is crazy to accept your fear and do the unthinkable but when it is done, it would all be worth it. *wink*

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Till today, I had done tons of things that I would consider it amazing. (Even eating an ice cream on a cold rainy day is an amazing thing for me) *I know. I am easily satisfied*

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not good in cooking at all but I do know how to make fluffy banana pancakes. *huge grin* I do love to talk about the different races in my country alone, where Malaysia is well known for its different type of colors and languages. Perhaps, I can teach a little of Bahasa Malaysia?

I would love to learn anything about what you can offer to me- be it in terms of cooking (who can say no to food), your traveling stories or the place that you came from. I do badly in learning a new language though so please be gentle about this?

What I Can Share with Hosts

In Malaysia, we are well known for our multi-races so I can introduce you to Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Pre-bumi's (Sarawak and Sabah people) traditional food. If you are not interested in food, I would gladly bring you around the town but frankly speaking, Johor Bahru is well known only for its food, I would say. There are some cool places to hang out and if you are willing to do so, why not?

Countries I’ve Visited

Indonesia, Maldives, Singapore, Thailand
