About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I only have one life! I want to go around the world. I am alive, no excuses to not travel!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Manizales, Colombia and lived there the first 10 years of my life. Then, my family and I moved to Miami, USA and lived there for 8 years. Ever since I was little I was interested in France; the language is simply beautiful, the culture, the places and the people intrigued me. I knew I was going to end up going someday, so after High School graduation all I did was work and work, finding out information to move to France. After all the hard work, I FINALLY MADE IT!! And I wouldnt have it any other way. The fact that I was determined to accomplish my dream, that I worked hard for it and it wasnt simply given to me, makes me appreciate every step I take here, every person I meet, every second that passes by. I was a Jeune Fille Au Pair- which basically means I live with a French family (therefore perfectioning the language, living the culure..living the french life.) for ten months...
To complete my year there, I just finished a two month eurotrip by myself and it was simply AMAZING. The people one meets while traveling, specially alone, are people you will never forget. Such great phylosophies, such different ways of looking at life... the essence of your being looking into someone elses essence... no age, race...nothing matters... as if traveling unites everyone.. amazing. I just finished my Eurotrip, from July 4th 2009 to August 30th 2009.

I went to Canada for a month and a half...and now Im back home in Weston, FL! Back to monotony...not exciting :/

I consider myself easygoing, my passion is definitely meeting people. Everyone has stories to tell, you can learn anything from anyone, it seems amazing to me how such different cultures, points of views, perspectives live in the same world.

PHILOSOPHY

I am a huge believer that the most important thing in life is to be completely happy.. no matter what it is you have to do! I left my family to come to France, and even though they mean everything to me (i talk to them everyday, twice a day!), i still manage to be happy. Never let your happiness depend on anyone!! Theres only one life, take advantage of it!
Go cavediving in Budapest, take the bateau mouche in the heart of Paris, ice skate in the frozen lakes in Zaanse-Schans. Do whatever you have to... but BE HAPPY.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Those experiences that are not so positive, that you think prevent you from being happy? Just take them as a way to grow as a person, to be stronger and more secure for the better things that are about to come. no excuses. enjoy life.

Music:

Guns N Roses, Coldplay, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Ben Harper, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Christophe Mae, Jack Johnson.

Pretty much calm music... they have to have meaningful lyrics.

Books:

Any book by Paulo Coelho. His way of writing is simply amazing. He gets his point across through the fluidity of his writing leaving his reader wanting more. Great phylosophies. The guys a genious.

I read them in spanish and french, so here are the titles in both, sorry!

-La Solitude du Vainqueur (Winner Stands Alone)
-Veronika Decide Morir (Veronika decides to die)
-Once Minutos (Eleven Minutes)
-El Zahir (The Zahir)
-El Alquimista (The Alchemist)
-Como el Rio que Fluye(Like the Flowing River)

I also like books by Jodi Picoult, so far I've only read "Nineteen minutes". She has a very interesting way of writing, its about solving cases.

And Then There Were None - Agatha Christie. A classic.

I just discovered a pretty cool French author; Guillaume Musso

So far I've read

-Seras-tu la?
-Parce que je t'aime

Guilty pleasure? The series of Twilight by Stephanie Meyer... and I don't even like science fiction!
