About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn to be satisfied with my small world (not that small !)

ABOUT ME

All about me ? Quite shy although traveling enforces "a-kick-in-the-ass". Then sincerely hospitable and curious.

PHILOSOPHY

As much as lightened is the world, as less I knock.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Bring back home a part of my region, city or lifestyle. I'll do the same by your side.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The fundamental one : I was 17 years old (1990?), was working hard as student job in a big and expensive camping close to the ocean in south-west of France.
Through the crowd of customers, a couple of Polish people came to me to very briefly request if they could stay one night cheaply in a huge tent that served normally pensioner's parties on saturday night. Please Reader realize it : few months after Berlin wall fall, this couple was coming direct from an UdSSR's satellite to discover "the other world".
I answered them so briefly : "Please wait a moment" knowing my boss could not accept the deal. And... because of hundred of customers in the afternoon, I have TOTALLY forgot them.

5 hours after, at 11 pm, i escaped my office to face suddenly my patient polish travellers. Not a big deal : a check with the security crew and I installed them into my tent. I could easily find another solution for me.

The day after, during my lunch break, I went back to my tent hoping to find them for a small "hello, did you have a nice sleep ?" They were gone, we had no planning.
My tent, my couch were clean like never before, they let me few words on a paper and a small gift also.
On the paper was written something like "... we hope there is thousands of people on the earth who would do like you did ..."

They were right, i can met them 20 years after on this website. One of them just read this small story.

For the small and precious gift they offered me, I keep it secret until you visit me in Bordeaux.
