ABOUT ME

Enthusiastic Easygoing Outgoing, the glass is half full kind of guy. Most of this comes from being raised by two hippy parents. Travelled independently to many places in the world roughing it with my dad. I love the outdoors, really into my photography. I Love music and can play guitar (Gibson SG with Bigsby whammy bar), I use to be a really good but when I got my job about 7 years ago I pretty much totally stooped playing so I'm barley an amateur now. I'm a keen runner and try my best to run 5K every weekday night.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

-Organize outings in a nomadic kind of way as i have been traveling for 8 months and its impossible to get any couchsurfers into Shropshire
-Attending as many meetings as possible!
-Surfing peoples couches and trying to leave behind as many tatty gifts from the last country i was in as a thank you!
-Converting travelers i feel are worthy enough to join our lovely CS Community
-i seam to be the hub of Trans Siberian information so if u need info on visas, tickets, routes etc then ask away!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-Eating with the locals in a uni campus in St Petersburg
-Tours of Stalin buildings, and huge markets in Moscow
-day walk round Krasnoyarsk Russia and ice slides with a radio presenter friend of a couchsurfer who spoke no english
-surfing with 5 other surfers in a house in Irkutsk Russia and walking on frozel lake baikal eating fish
-spending two weeks with sabina and her friends in the gobi desert in Monglia and having to go into a -30'c snowstorm to use the toilet, and also learning if someone has more bad references than good ones does not mean its a bad idea to meet up with them!! WE LOVE YOU SABINA!!!!
-massive couchsurfing partys and outings in beijing
-walking tours of engllish forts in hongkong with tony
-Geeking out and "playing" the rides at amusement park taiwan and a tour of the island by train with other couchsurfers
-crazy nights out and house parties in bangkok with the couchserfers!
-two weeks trekking to everest with Helen in nepal organized by a Nepalese couchsurfer
-photo shop trips in New Delhi
-Ghost hunting in Singapore couchsurfing with 3 different people the 3 times i went back and living with some, parties every night, photography trips every day etc etc Singapore is a couchsurfers heaven!

I am a Geek when it comes to trans siberian routes and traveling and staying indipendently in ASIA. I know some pretty kick ass card tricks and I know literally EVERYTHING about anything that is outdoor clothing/boots/accessories/camping etc. so if anyone has any questions I can bore you to death about it all
