About Me

I write science fiction fantasy novels, stories, and poetry; I sometimes bring a typewriter to events to create collaborative pieces. I'm also a swimming mermaid. I love nature, know plants and animals, enjoy hiking, the ocean, and the snow. Music is a great muse for me, and I go out dancing. I also care for theater, and have written a script or two. I dig comics, a lot, as well as art; I have a collage on wood series, myself. Handy with tools.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Sometimes I feel more at home on a friendly couch than in high appointments. People can be great.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm deeply eclectic - I can pick a favorite from many areas of culture and genre. In books and movies, I'm versed mainly in science fiction and fantasy, some literature; practical, esoteric and advanced topics. The Sandman, Ursula K. LeGuin, Tolkien; Cowboy Bebop yes, Dune yes, hey they're putting all my own favorite things on screen these days. The One-Straw Revolution, Mycelium Running, Michio Kaku. We can go deeper in almost any direction. Music, I have a lot of EDM, but also ragtime jazz, hip hop, songwriters, instrumentalists, world, divas, post-rock, avant-garde.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Writing a novel trilogy, seriously. A life-changing, unbelievable adventure.

Teach, Learn, Share

As a science fiction fantasy panelist, I can link you to these discussions if you have a jumping-in point. I can share some styles of movement and therapeutic exercise, talk about plants and ecology on a nature walk. For learning, I enjoy advancing in various outdoor sport and exercising language immersion, and I like gaining some understanding of a person's profession.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unexpected intellectual connection through my network knowledge to further your creative interests. Friendship that can echo across space and time, or simple presence. I will probably share some of my creative drive and dedication, as it's activated regularly, and I like co-creation. I do dishes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Northern Ireland, Panama, Philippines, Portugal, Spain
