Overview
About Me
Active, creative, positive, curious person, restless.
Always trying to know myself better, and find the "kit of the question", to be in peace with oneself.
I love to meet people. I live in a very particular neighborhood in the center of Madrid, with people from 88 different countries in the world… a sea of stories.
I like to live here such in a small Babel. I'd be happy to show you this small piece of world.
I work as a freelance photographer/journalist in Madrid (I'm often away ) working for Foundations and NGO'S and teaching in a Photographer's School.
I'm involved with self-organized groups for responsible consumption and agro-ecology. So we have a common orchard and eat the vegetables that comes from there. Healthy people ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
IT'S MY FIRST TIME HERE!!
My house have always been full of friends.
I'm undertaking a travel to Southafrica very soon.
When I travel, I always arrive invited to people's places, friends, or friends of friends, people like you that believe in the same way to travel than me. For me, knowing people's real life is the best way for knowing places all over the world.
I believe in networks, in people who meet other people, connect and make the network stronger.
Interests
I love to tell stories, and photography is my language. Then I've discovered video and edition and now I'm on that thing called "multimedia". You can see my webpage here: www.evafilgueira.com
I love reading, cooking, traveling, hear to music, dance, sometimes scape to mountains...
I love to laugh and I like people that laugh until his side aches.
I love the sound of a cello or a flamenco guitar.
I love the smell of wet soil or of the smell of a new book.
I love deserts and roofs, and how the cities are seen from these roofs.
I love walking along the cities.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love ALL music, each moment has its soundtrack. I adore Blues, soul, funky… also folk, fusion, rock from 70's to radiohead... and I definitely love flamenco.
I love reading, novels most of all, since I was a child. Satanic versus, Rayuela, One hundred years of solitude, les miserables are books that touched me.
I love comics, and people who draw other people.
Cinema. Love it. Mostly documentaries. I think that W.Herzog is a genius.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Work as an intern for a period in the most (for me) legendary photo agency Magnum Photos. And for this reason, to live in New york City for a period, also was quite amazing.
2. Ride a bicycle alone at night in the Atacama Desert (Chile) with the full moon gleaming in the sky. That night I felt I could almost fly.
3. Find each day of my life a good reason to be happy and laugh a lot.
