About Me

Hi, my name is Eva.
I just finished my Bachelor thesis and wanted to use the time afterwards to do some traveling, since I have a few months until my defense. I have a friend that's doing work and travel in Australia right now, so I decided to come here as well, since I really wanted to see her again (we met in Korea and she normally lives there).

In Germany I study social work with a focus on migration and globalization. It is also connected strongly with working with refugees, which is something that I'm very passionate about. Because of this course I also spent one year abroad in South America. During high school I took the courses English and Spanish as my main courses, so you can see that I'm very interested in learning languages. Right now I'm learning Korean, but it's going very slow and mostly through Duolingo haha.

I`m very conscious of the environment. So I really enjoy second hand shopping and going to flea markets. And I'm trying to live as sustainable as possible by replacing many single use items with washable ones.

Also I`m vegan and love eating. When in a new city, but also in my hometown, I enjoy checking out new and interesting food spots. I also really enjoy cooking and baking. I love getting together with friends and everyone brings something to eat.

I love meaningful talks and being busy collecting new memories. Right now I'm also pretty passionate about the gym, but I also like Yoga and dancing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love Couchsurfing of course because of the cheap travel opportunity that it offers. On top of that I love the unique travel experience of it. It`s so great to get the insight into how "local" people live and get to know a part of their culture. In my opinion it's just the best to have conversations and through that learn about the country and also through food. I've had the best experienced and made some good friends by using Couchsurfing.
