Hi, guys. My name´s Chachi and I´m from China. I´ve been living in Latin America since 2014. Currently I´m cycling around México. I started my trip from México City in August, 2021 and planning to get to Rivera Maya at the end of 2022. At first I was traveling with a dog that I adopted but she passed away in May because she had an accident and couldn’t survive the second surgery. It was heartbreaking 💔. But I had so many wonderful experiences and memories traveling with her, meeting up with other bikepackers, staying with the local people, trying new dishes, seeing new places and experiencing a a different life… All of this shapes me into a better version of myself. Because the world is so big and I don’t limit myself anymore. One of my goals of this trip is to practice my photography and make an album bout Mexico at the end of this trip.

Hola, ¡chicos! Mi nombre es Chachi. Vivo en Latinoamérica desde 2014. Actualmente estoy conociendo México en bici. Antes viajaba con una cachorra que adopté en Hidalgo, se llama Xitomate. Pero falleció en mayo porque tuvo un accidente y no sobrevivió la segunda operación. Inicié mi viaje desde la Ciudad de México en agosto de 2021 y planeo llegar a Rivera Maya a finales de este año. He tenido tantas experiencias y recuerdos maravillosos viajar con mi perrita, conocer otros cicloviajeros, quedarme con la gente local, probar nuevos platillos, visitar nuevos lugares y experimentar una vida diferente... Todo esto me hace una persona mejor. Porque el mundo es grande y no me limito a mí misma.
Una de mis metas de este viaje es practicar la fotografía y hacer un álbum sobre de México al final de este viaje.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that the purpose of traveling is not just about visiting the tourist attractions, but also about meeting up with new friends and learning more about other cultures. And couch surfing is one of the best ways to achieve that. I am convinced that the people we meet and the stories we share are always the most fascinating part of a journey.

Creo que el objetivo de viajar no simplemente trata de visitar los sitios de interés turísticos, sino también de conocer a nuevos amigos y las culturas. Y couchsurfing es una de las mejores maneras para conseguirlo. Estoy convencida de que la gente con la que nos encontramos y las historias que compartimos es siempre la parte más fascinante de un viaje.
