About Me

Hey,
I‘m Eva and since I was 11 my one consistent life dream, the one thing that has to be a checked box on my bucket when I die, was travelling with as little as possible for as long as possible. I don‘t want hotelrooms (which I couldn’t afford anyway) or train tickets. I want wet tents, almost frozen fingertips and the cheapest noodles I can find five days in a row.
Well, my mum obviously doesn‘t fancy that idea so that is where y‘all come into play.
Besides that I love meeting new people and have always enjoyed staying with random people it would be also much safer to sleep indoors than outdoors in the winter.
I am easy to get along with and always have a few funny stories to tell that are all the product of dumb ideas but have left great memories.
I also know how to make great homemade popcorn but more about that later

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would be lying if I said it wasn’t to cut expenses but if that was my only reason I wouldn’t plan on couchsurfing for several months in a row. I think couchsurfing gives couchsurfers and also hosts the rare opportunity to talk to people that (except the probably mutual interest in travel) most likely are quite different from themselves. It is basically like a real life episode of „others peoples lives“ and that is why I love it so much. In the past I often stayed with friends of friends of friends of my parents when travelling and despite them being light years away from my reality and were in totally different stages of their lives we always enjoyed each others company

Interests

Being so young and just having graduated from the German high school my biggest project at the time is figuring out what I want in live because the answer could be helpful to know when choosing a career. Other than this exhausting first world problem I love spending time with my friends (and I don’t care how boring this sounds) because I absolutely adore my friends and would give and give a lot for them. Other than that spending time outdoors has become more and more important to me because it always calms me down no matter what emotional rollercoaster I have been dumb enough to get on to.

If I wasn‘t occupied planning 24/7 because I somehow procrastinated for a whole month, I would spend my free time reading (mostly non-fiction), dancing, writing and sometimes painting
Also I collect quotes and cover my bedroom walls in them

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17 I hitchhiked from Düsseldorf to Bremen with my favourite person and we ended up driving most of the trip with one guy who was on his way to Hamburg (close to Bremen) but decided to make a detour for us. We talked for hours and I think all of us enjoyed getting insights to each others views on the world. We never spoke to him again but his name still comes up in conversations from time to time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As mentioned earlier one big pro for letting me stay is that I know how to make homemade popcorn. But if that isn‘t your thing I can also cook and would consider myself not too bad at it. Just show me your fridge and we‘ll find a way to transform it all into something edible.

Other than that I love to draw which you probably don‘t want me to do on your walls but if you want to talk about art than I can offer a basic understanding and interest in art.
