Me and my fiance Damijan are at the moment travelling the world for 6 months. We started our trip last november in Sri Lanka and then went to India in december. In february we want to go to Iran and via landline acrosss turkey and the balcans back home to Berlin in April.

We are a couple for 2,5 years, Damijan works as an economist in the start-up scene in Berlin and I am a freelancing journalist. We were planning this trip for more than 1 year.

We consider ourselves as reasonsible, sensitive, caring and clean. We like to give something in return and also get when it is time to leave.

We love to meet locals. We are tired of anonymous hotels and would love to get in touch closer to people from the place. Travelling is about people for us, their culture and their every day life. We are thankfull if we may be part of it. That`s why we just signed in to couchsurfing and don't have many references yet. When we come back we would also like to host people from around the world in our wonderfull 3-room-appartement in Berlin, Friedrichshain, and give back some of the hospitality and trust that we experience on our travel.

We love to eat, to cook and to discover new things. We are both very active people and spend most of our days outside discovering places. We like to be surrounded by people and are always keen to discuss the world. We love to do sports, like yoga, volleyball, basketball, swimming and cycling.

Musica, film e libri

We love to go to the movies, read the world news on the internet aswell as oldschool in newspapers and also read books that play at the places we visit. At the moment I read books about India, like Shantaram, A fine balance, the god of small things, and about Iran like Nachts ist es leise in Teheran or Eskandar.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Uff ... well, we found it amazing that we actually managed to go on this trip because that`s what we`ve been dreaming of for so long. We quit our jobs, saved money, subleted our flat, organised everything that needs to be organised to be away for 6 months. I know many people do so but even more people don't do so althought they dream of it. We are thankfull that we can be away and travelling.

Cosa posso offrire ai padroni di casa

Watever suits our host and us to do together. We are easy and like to spend time with our hosts but at the same time we are independant and we don't need to be babysitted. We love to share food, drinks, time, inspiration and ideas.
