Hi, I am a student from the Czech Republic who likes getting to know new people and explore new places. I like sharing life and travel experiences with others and learn about different cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me travelling means not only going abroad but also meeting people on the way. I think that when you travel alone and stay with locals you learn much more about the country and its culture in a day than you'd have learnt in one week staying in a hotel. I've learnt so much from couchsurfers and some of my best experiences happened thanks to couchsurfing.

Interests

Travelling and planning travelling. Reading and buying tons of new books which I have no time to read or place to put into. Photography, although going through the thousands of photos I take tires me. Movies and cute little cinemas that play old classics. Dancing and jogging, which I stop and restart doing constantly and thus do not consider myself a jogger. Recently, I've also taken interest in yoga. And finally learning foreign languages because there is nothing like reading a book or watching a movie in the original version or having a conversation with a local in their language.

Music, Movies, and Books

It changes all the time but my whole-life faves are Radiohead, Foals, Florence and the Machine, alt-J, Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, AC/DC, Beatles, Yann Tiersen and some classical music.

I studied English and American literature so I enjoy almost any classic whether it is Shakespeare, Dickens, Fitzgerald or Rushdie. At the moment I love Zadie Smith.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Japan and Mexico on my own and volunteered there for a couple of weeks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd like to practise my Spanish in return I can help with English. I also love sharing cultures, experiences and cuisine ideas. I am not a really good cook but we can try together. :)
