I'm a travel-loving (amateur) musician who works in digital activism in Vancouver. I try to get away whenever I can, and love destinations near and far. I've been all over Europe a number of times and just started exploring South America recently - ask me about it and I'll talk your ear off.
I pride myself on travelling light and take packing way too seriously. I like seeing the sights, but I'm just as interested in picking up on the vibe of a place by emulating locals. Big people watcher, love wasting an hour or two in a good cafe or bar. I'm sure everyone says this, but I am a bit of a neat freak, especially when it comes to kitchens.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm venturing forth on an adventure and want to get to know some locals and learn what a place is really like. I'm at a place in my life where I want to meet new people and nurture my social life after spending most of my adult life focusing on my career.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite books include anything by Dostoyevsky, Peter Carey, and Dickens. Favourite TV show is the Wire, hands down. Favourite movie is Terminator 2, and I don't mind saying it. Favourite music includes Weezer (the first two albums only, obvs.), Pavement, the Pixies, Guided by Voices, Radiohead, and the Beatles. Check out my band at teenagre.com if you feel like it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked 42 days in a row averaging 16 hour days on an election that we lost then got completely smashed, wound up in a limousine, woke up the next day and said fuck it and headed off to South America shortly after.
