About Me

Hey, I'm Eva:)

• I’m the happiest when I’m surrounded by lovely people, it gives me so much energy. 🫶🏻
• I’m a huge music lover: I love to sing, play the piano and listen to (almost) all kinds of music. 🎶
• Pastries are my weakness, so if I see a croissant, I need to buy it. 🥐
• I love exploring new cities and places and I always need to have the next trip booked (apparently that’s called Tripophobia, at least that’s what Google says). 🌍
• I love going to a cool concert or party (as long as there’s no techno music), but I also really enjoy eating out or doing a cooking/baking session with friends. 🍽️
• During my exchange semester in England, I rediscovered my love for crafting and (pottery) painting, which is a great way for me to calm down and recharge my batteries. 🎨
• I’m new to the couchsurfing community (starting in 2024 and yes, I’ve had the account for some time before that) and I’m really excited for all my CS experiences to come! 🥳

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me, couchsurfing is all about meeting interesting people from all around the world. It would be great to meet people to show me around during my trips or give recommendations, because I think there’s nothing better than getting travel inspirations from people who actually live in the place. If you come to Vienna, I’m happy to show you around or give you some recommendations, too.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can’t really describe my music taste, it’s a wild mix of all kinds of genres. I grew up listening to Austro Pop (basically pop music in Austrian dialect), which I still love. I also listen to mainstream pop, rap, folk, and many more.
I’m big into all kinds of series, but I don’t know a lot of movies (even some very well-known ones).
I used to love reading thrillers, but recently I’ve been really into novels, especially by Coleen Hoover.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

• My exchange semester in York, England where I didn’t spend a week without traveling 🏞️
• Waving at a Grizzly bear in Whistler, Canada (it was casually standing in the garden of a family home) 🐻
• Watching a sunset at the most southwestern place in Europe in Sagres, Portugal 🌅
• Sandboarding in the desert in Dubai 🏂
• Going to the Ed Sheeran & P!nk concerts, two of my absolute favorite musicians 🎤

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you German and Austrian (Styrian) dialect. I’d love to learn some basics in your language, too!

I’m also very curious about traditional foods and dishes from your country (unfortunately, I can’t eat spicy food, though) and I’m very happy to show you traditional Austrian restaurants or cook something together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

• Exchanging traveling stories
• Showing you around in Vienna/Graz
• Cooking/baking Austrian dishes
• Going to concerts, events, dance classes, Karaoke nights, craft workshops, etc. together
• Piano lessons
• I’m always happy to learn new things :)
