About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To work for the pure joy of activity. (And figure out how to make enough money along the way)

ABOUT ME

I've been apprenticing as a butcher of late (with relish). I learn more from a walk in the woods than I ever did behind a desk. I love to: share, climb rocks, nourish, cook, dance, play fiddle, ferment food, learn and love and eat, among other things.

PHILOSOPHY

I would rather feel truly alive than make much money or get too comfortable.

"Be joyful though you have considered all the facts." -Wendell Berry

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have WWOOFed (trade farming for room/board), hitchhiked, and tumbled about; and also made many a meal and bed roll for many a weary traveler.

But I'm new to this web-site!

Interests

Cross country skiing, Food! (especially meat and fat), alternative healing, rock climbing, wilderness, wild foraging, nutrition research, homesteading, old time music, fiddle carving, picture carving, dance of all kinds, westerns, live fermentation, goats, reading aloud, contrary farming.

I am learning more about primitive posture, permaculture, working for myself, breathing, using food as medicine.
