About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Still finding my way and place here :o)

ABOUT ME

I love travelling and meeting new people as well as spending time with the "old" good friends, gaining new experience and trying to find my own way and place on Earth. I love trekking and enjoying nature, skiing, cycling, swimming, juggling, but also being lazy a lot :o). I also really enjoy food and cooking, especially cakes (both eating and making..).
I try to get involved in environmental and human rights issues - even though I haven't found a way to do "great" things yet, I try to do at least little steps to make the world a bit nicer :o) By now it's mainly volunteering for a local Fairtrade organisation, attending workcamps, been working for an organisation organizing workcamps, attending a scout organisation from my early childhood and still taking a part in it till now.
Would love to find myself doing something useful for the nature in my future.

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure one can describe his philosophy or overall life attitudes like this in short. That's more for a longer discussion, one of the reasons why meeting up with like-minded people through couchsurfing is such a great possibility.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really appreciate the whole idea of couchsurfing a lot - the opportunity to meet new (and generally very nice for sure :o)) people and really experience their home, country, and culture as well as being able to offer this to the others is amazing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Very pleasant experience while surfing, meeting amazing people, now good friends, from all around the world. My hosting opportunity is limited, nevertheless I managed to meet really nice people by just exploring my home town together.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like books from Milan Kundera - Immortality, The Joke, or The Unbearable Lightness of Being for instance. Into the Wild from Jon Krakauer is my number one at the moment.
From music it's all different genres, depends on the mood or state of mind at the moment. But grew up on old rock and will love that forever :o).
With movies it's pretty much the same, but really enjoy the Monty Pythons and British humour in general.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailing in the Irish sea, spending a summer at CERN, getting back to my "home town" in Kidlington after 18 years and definitely meeting some of the amazing people in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

Whatever interesting may appear. I love cooking and trying out local food, would be happy to share Czech cuisine with anyone interested. Also juggling, maybe even a bit of Biochemistry (but that's fading away quickly once my final exams are over...). And would be happy to learn anything new when the opportunity arises :o).
