I don´t have my favourite genre of movies or favourite director. I like movies with impressive plot. For exmaple The Shawshank Redemption, Forrest Gump, Schindler's List, Amores Perros, 21 grams, Todo sobre mi madre, or sci- fi films like Matrix etc.
I like many different music genres, for example Queen, AC/DC, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Guns ´n Roses, janis Joplin
My favourite authors are Salinger, Jack London, Kessey or Dostojevskij....
