Ola chicas & chicos! My name is Eva, I am from Belgium and currently, I am studying at the Netherlands: my second (i am that lucky yessss) experience abroad. Since my first erasmus experience in Portugal I am looking all over for internationals, and for a possible opportunity to still do this for the rest of my life! Nowadays, I am specializing in the conservation of historic monuments and happily... these can be found all over the world! It would be just perfect: traveling and help to conserve this important heritage for everyone... Did I already tell you I am a dreamer?

On erasmus I visited Lisbon and discovered that couch surfing is more than a cheap opportunity to get to know the local culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was a blast! Honestly, on the moment of finding our first couchsurfing host's place, we almost chickened out, because which rational person just walks into a strange mens home? But after meeting our host... Aah, the magic happened!

Feeding penguins, surveying old historic buildings (preferably on a moment really close to collapse), learning new languages, making movies and other to document little and more precious time-frames of my life, trying to go undercover in a new culture,...

MUSIC_ I like almost every kind of music as long as it contains a certain rhythm. Oh, and I love to discover new music (pleaseeeee send me a youtube link of your favourite local band)
I love everything that is evolving around Jack White (the White Stripes, the Death Weather, the Raconteurs, and his last solo albums, just great!), also BIG fan of the Arctic Monkeys (and Alex turner), the XX, the Kills, the Vaccines, Chet Faker, Seasick Steve, Alt-J, James Blake, Disclosure, Cat Empire,...
Oh, and I can give you a lot of good Belgian bands, don't forget to check out Stromae, Selah Sue, the Black Box Revelation, Altrego (partially Belgian), Triggerfinger, Netsky, Lost frequencies, Oscar and the Wolf, STUFF., Bazart (dutch songs), Marble Sounds, Safi & Spreej (dutch rap), Hooverphonic and Gabriel Rios.

MOVIES_ One of my favourite movies is 'City of God', and then what I call the "journey"-movies which I very much like, like 'Lord of the Rings', but also 'Into the Wild', blew my mind...

Hitchhiked from Belgium to Barcelona with my best friend - dressed as pirates "Aaahrrrrr"
Danced in the first rain of Portugal's autumn/winter
Walked the camino Frances to Santiago De Compostela and the "end of the world"
Hiked the Velebit trail in Croatia
Solo hitchhiked from the Netherlands to the middle of the Alps in Switzerland
Run 10 k on the European athletics track of the half marathon during the European Athletic Championships 2016 in Amsterdam (just as a amateur though!)
