CURRENT MISSION

I am travelling in South America with my best friend and her boyfriend. We are going to travel for six months and are hoping to meet a lot of new and interesting people!

ABOUT ME

I love to travel and meet new people. I am interested to see other cultures besides my own. I feel like every culture can teach you something new. There is never one right way to do something, and the more I travel the more I see that. I grew up with two different cultures. My mother is from New York and my father is from a little town in Norway.

Right now I am traveling in South America with my bestfriend and her boyfriend. I´m trying to pick up some spanish but don´t know enough to carry on a conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no couch surfing experience, but I know a lot of people who have done it and it sounds great. I love meeting new people and am hoping to do so through couchsurfing.

Interests

I enjoy hiking and nature. I´m not a big city person, but i do like to explore a city if I´m with someone who knows their way around.

I like to go out and have a beer or two on the weekends. I also enjoy trying traditional foods and drinks. I like making food with others. I´m not good at cooking but would love to learn more, especially traveling. There are so many new types of fruit and vegetables that I would like to try.

I like to read too. Mostly novels, fantasy and mystery.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite books are Harry Potter, Mao´s last dancer, Running with scissors, Time travellers wife, The notebook, the game...

Music, I listen to whatever is on really. But I like 60s/70s music, like rolling stones, beatles, kinks... I also like Keane, the black keys, The killers, Veronica Maggio and sublime. Those are some.

When it comes to movies I am such a girl. I really like a good chickflick. But I can watch just about any genre . Some of my favorite movies are Titanic, Brokeback mountain, Into the Wild, American Beauty, Cold mountain, Chocolate, What´s eating Gilbert Grape?, Blow, Edward Scissorhands (anything with Johnny Depp). I could go on forever...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I´ve been travelling in South America for 4 months now, and one of the most amazing things I´ve seen is the salt flats in Bolivia. It was incredible.

I am trying to learn spanish, so it would be great to stay with someone who speaks good english and spanish.
