ABOUT ME

I love travelling and meeting new people. It's amazing how much you learn once you set foot outside your own country.

I grew up in a 500-people-village in Denmark, but since I turned 19 I have lived in China, Sweden, Singapore, Turkey the Netherlands, Lebanon and now Belgium :-)

I like studying languages and talking to all different kinds of people.
I also enjoy absolutely every kind of food, I love to try new things - and am crazy about spicy. Chinese tea and Belgian beers are other consumption-related passions of mine, though my friends tell me that I should stay away from coffee, as it tends to make me more crazy than I already am ;-)

I surf and let people surf when possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with people in Budapest, Dublin and Brussels (through a different website) and have surfed in Kota Kinabalu, Luang Prabang, various Chinese cities, Sri Lanka, Helsinki, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, France, Croatia...
Hosted people from maaany different places :-) Can't wait to meet more couchsurfers!

I like political novels, crimis, fantasy books, books in general. Music's always been a big part of my life, as I used to be a part-time musician back in Denmark.
Not big on movies, but it's always nice to watch something if you've got (salty) popcorn.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I think every day is amazing - especially when you are travelling! Climbing mount Kinabalu, flying over Cappadocia in a hot air balloon, living in a yoga ashram in India, running up a mountain side in Guilin - these are just a few of the wonderful things I have seen and done within the last year+, and the list goes on and on and on! :)

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

My learning-to-say cheers project has stalled at 40 languages, so if you know any cool language I can learn to say cheers in, I am all ears!!
On the way, I also picked up how to say tadpole in 25 languages, so if you ever wondered how to say tadpole in russian or portuguese, I'd be happy to share :-)
I would love to talk about languages and/or music with anyone interested. I'd love to learn some new languages, and I really find it interesting to compare semantics and grammar. I'm also very fond of Belgian beer, so I'd love to share info on beers with any enthusiasts out there :-) And I enjoy sharing my Chinese teas with anyone interested as well. Or I would be happy to teach you a bit of Mandarin Chinese..
