Overview
About Me
I received a degree in environmental studies with an emphasis on water in May 2015 and have been working seasonal jobs and traveling since then. I am currently riding a bike from San Diego, CA to Costa Rica and trying as much as possible to explore, learn, adventure, see different perspectives, and just flat out have a good time. I have become addicted to learning and experiencing new things and meeting wonderful and weird people along the way that I can share the experience with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet great people during my travels and get a glimpse into the lives of people around the world. I am also very excited to start hosting people at my own place when I return home to Colorado this summer.
Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite genre is hip-hop but I listen to a very broad spectrum of sounds and love getting stoked on whatever other people are getting stoked on. Love live music of just about all shapes and forms. All time best movie: Dumb and Dumber. I've been enjoying rediscovering my love for reading after years of mandatory reading in school. Various Edward Abbey books, the Teachings of Don Juan, and The Essential Gandhi are a few recent ones. Suggestions are always appreciated!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In September I went on a 21 day raft trip down the Grand Canyon with 14 amazing people. There are really no words to describe it. It was the most extraordinary thing I have done in my life so far. It's gonna be hard to top but I'm trying my best!
Teach, Learn, Share
I am (slowly) learning Spanish right now and would really like to focus a lot of my time and energy towards this during my time in Mexico and Central America. I am happy to share any knowledge, skills, services, and stories that I can. Also drinks and food, of course.
