To broaden my horizons and bring myself to new places and new people.

ABOUT ME

I have a passion for people. I love to experience new adventures, travel new places, and meet new people. I am looking to find what is out there in the world for me and to see if there are people out there that I can share my experiences with. I do some amateur filming now and again, as well as boarding (any kind), running, biking, hiking, rock climbing/bouldering, kayaking, canoeing. I am politically active, which is part of my current mission. I wish to interview people across the country about their lives and what they need and want from their government to pursue their happiness.

PHILOSOPHY

I am searching for happiness. I find that I enjoy myself the most when I am working towards a goal for myself and others. There can be so much joy brought to the world by simply helping one another. It should be as simple as asking another. I want to bring this to the world by communicating people's desires to one another. I believe that this can best be done through political action, and I also believe that action must be taken by one if it is to be taken by many.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a decent cook. It's part of my job at a small children's hospital. I am happy to do any sort of cleaning and I will keep myself tidy and out of the way. I am relatively knowledgeable in first aid. I am very fit and rather strong, so I can easily handle difficult house chores or house maintenance. I have some carpentry, as well as mechanical and electrical experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any Couchsurfer experiences before. However, I am accustomed to sleeping in all manners of places and spaces.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went to the Grand Canyon with my high school outing club group. On our last day hiking out of the canyon, two of the members in our group caught a cold. Starting the day out halfway out of the canyon, I hiked up to the top of the canyon with one of the instructors about an hour ahead of the rest of the team. I then went back down about a mile and a half or so to get the bag of one of the sick members of our team.

Teach, Learn, Share

Again I have some carpentry and auto-mechanic experience, as well as some household electrical experiences. I have been practicing stretching techniques, as well as yoga and meditative breathing, for several years. I have been running since I can remember. I have been snowboarding for a decade. I started skateboarding a couple years ago; I am always looking for new people to skate around with especially beginners like myself.
