Hi I'm Evan! I like to eat, see new things, meet new people, and travel! I love meeting new people because I always get a great story out of it. Meeting new people is always exciting (and a little nerve-racking!), and usually everyone is in a great mood to talk to each other and learn a little bit about where the other person is from.
I'm a very laid back person, kind of just a go-with-the-flow kind of person, and so far that's worked out pretty well for me! Sometimes I'm a little quiet when I am very nervous, but most of the time I like to introduce myself to others and get right into a conversation!

I'm on Couchsurfing because I heard it was a much better way to travel and to experience a new place. And what's a better way to see someplace new than by someone who lives there?

Musik, Filme und Bücher

The genres of music I would listen to are Hip-Hop, Jazz (Blues, Latin, Be-Bop, Afro-Cuban, etc.), some Rock & Roll (I'm not a huge fan, but it's good music), Classical when I'm feeling it, EDM (I'm trying to learn to DJ some also), and R&B (pretty rarely though since it is mostly love songs).

I can't say I have a favorite movie since there are a lot of good ones that I like to watch. I guess the classics like Godfather (Parts 1&2, not 3), Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, and Goodwill Hunting are good movies. But as long as a movie tells a story that works, and makes sense. Then I'm fine with just about anything.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Well I can't think of anything too amazing, so I can just tell you a story of some young children overcoming oppression when I was in 3rd grade in the next panel.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Okay, so it starts off with my two friends (I'll call them Mark, and Eli), and this girl I'll call Nora, in Elementary School:

Rose was given the job of being the bathroom monitor when we would have bathroom breaks. But she was so mean! My friends and I would just be going to the bathroom and mid-stream she would stick her head around the corner and yell into the bathroom telling us to wash our hands and that our time was up! And she wouldn't let us drink from the water fountain for more than what felt like 3 seconds!
Now as little kids all of this felt like we were under a dictatorship like Joseph Stalin. Since we sat in little desks that were pushed into groups of four, my friends and I were able to talk, and I told Eli and Mark that we should have a strike against Nora as the bathroom monitor! Both of them were like "Yeaaaah we should get her out, she's terrible". We were talking about this all class like we were about to impeach the US President.
So that next recess we got a big stick, raised it in the air, and started chanting: WE HATE NORA! WE HATE NORA!. And the craziest part about it was that EVERYONE in the class started chanting with us, and even other people from other classes who didn't know what was going on were chanting with us! Twenty minutes of chanting later our teacher Ms. Moore came outside and called my friends and I inside and told us Nora was crying (not very funny) about our rebellion against her tyranny. So I confessed to having the idea and starting the chant so my friends wouldn't get in trouble.
And at the end of that year Nora went to another school, and I have not seen her or heard from her since....

So that ending is kind of darker, but we did rebel against an evil leader. You could say my friends and I were like the Jedi going against the one Sith overlord in Star Wars.
