Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Evan. When I asked my best friend to help me write the 'About Me' section, this is what he said: "Evan is a bit quirky. His appetite for food is never quenched, he wears Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle boxers for good luck, and he has an almost-alarming love for The Princess Bride. I once heard that “your strangeness is your magic.” I suppose this may be why those closest to Evan count him as such a blessing. Evan’s relationships (whether it be with his family members, fiancée, or friends) are honest, genuine, and light-hearted. While he doesn’t often seek out big crowds, Evan lives for intentional one-on-one conversations, which I think [in part] explains his passion for nature. Evan’s love for nature can also be explained by his passion for adventure and spontaneity. From hunting to fly fishing, canoe trips to wakeboarding, and hiking to mountain biking, Evan’s interest in exploration drives him to live each day with enthusiasm."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Two years ago, I started couch surfing, because my buddy and I were on a 5-month adventure around the U.S. During that time, I learned that the best way to meet great people is to stay with them! The people make it the experiences all the more memorable.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite movie is the Princess Bride. My favorite book is "When Breath Becomes Air," by Paul Kalanithi
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As a high school student with no background in mechanics and using my parents garage, I learned how to remove the automatic transmission from my car and perform a complete overhaul in order to swap it into a 5-speed manual drivetrain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some basics about using a DSLR camera, or medicine!
I would love to learn just about anything, but if I had to name a few things, maybe more about outdoor activities such as mountain biking skills, climbing, etc. I would also love to learn more about cooking.
I can share my open mind and positive attitude.
What I Can Share with Hosts
