Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There's no better way to see the beauty of a foreign place than through the eyes of a local. I would rather get a tour from a local than from a brochure at a hotel desk. The hidden spots of a city usually turn out to be my favorite.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a love for all types of music. It's the one true international language that anyone can speak. I love being introduced to artists and genres that I've never heard before and especially jamming for the first time with new musicians. Going to local record shops and finding music that has sitting unheard for years is always a special experience.

I have a soft spot for heist movies, but any movie that can leave me guessing until the end is always a treat. I have a love of the classics and a large movie collection that I would love to share with my fellow couchsurfers. Going to the cinema is a great way to expose myself to the local language and see a movie that I might not have run across anywhere else.

Science-fiction novels have always driven my imagination and curiosity about the worlds outside our own. I have finally immersed myself in the Dune novels which are a great companion to long plane and train trips.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played a show from a shopping cart to a mob of 3,000 people and the LAPD SWAT team.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a pretty firm grasp on many instruments and love helping people be able to further express themselves on the sound-item of their choice. At the same time I'm always up for having someone teach me the tricks of the trade on their musical instrument. Also always looking out for great local visual and musical artists!
