About Me
Hi! I am a theater artist and musician from Philadelphia. I’ve been described as easygoing, goofy, and curious about people. The main thing that attracts me to Couchsurfing is getting to meet folks who have built unique lifestyles around their passion.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My partner Emily and I are spending a month in Europe. We have accommodations set for most of our time there, but would like an excuse to get out and meet some new folks, explore some new places, and learn some new things!

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m open to all genres but some artists I’ve been into lately: August Green, Dixie Chicks, Lake Street Dive, Goat Radio, D’Angelo, Lizzo, and Sylvan Esso.
I just saw Midsommar so if you have too let’s talk about it! Guilty pleasure is Mary Poppins.
Fantasy/Sci-Fi is a safe bet. I love a compelling history novel. Something about decadent French literature speaks to me. Particularly awesome books I’m into are: White Teeth by Zadie Smith, The Secret History by Donna Tartt, Parisians by Graham Robb, and Lame Deer: Seeker of Visions by (who else but) John Fire Lame Deer.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took part in an Inipi (sweat lodge) ceremony on a reservation in South Dakota during a thunderstorm. One of those rare moments where the weather was in sync with our emotions.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a native Philadelphian, I would say I’m an expert on what things are like in the city of brotherly love. We’re progressive and we like sweatpants.
I’m always curious about what the soul of a place is. I love learning about history and culture.
I am pretty knowledgeable about music and the arts and I teach playwriting to youngsters.
My band just finished a US tour in the Midwest. If you’re interested to hear about the experience or want some information about the DIY scene here I’m more than open to share what I know.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We can share our music! Both of us will have our instruments on hand for an impromptu jam session. Outside of that we’re both competent cooks and are always down to hang.
