ABOUT ME

I'm a professional musician and an amateur(but hardcore) gardener. Most of the space in my house is taken up by music and plants, and the various tools and byproducts of these.

I'm often told that what I've experienced and accomplished in my life is a complicated mess of unrelated things. Which is absolutely fine with me.

I'm from Michigan, and I feel like I take that with me everywhere I go. And I also feel like you can 'hear' Detroit in it's music.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Being a working musician I travel a LOT and don't always actually have a house to offer, but I host whenever I can. On my travels sometimes I find myself without a place to stay and far away from my van (it's a 60's camper van and totally comfortable, I promise). Otherwise I try to couchsurf in new countries just to experience the culture properly.

Interests

I generally spend my time learning how to do new things and old things in as organic and simple of ways possible. Although I've learned most that simple is sometimes not so simple. Gardening, baking, whisky, building. Etc, etc.

Music and movies are conversations that I couldn't even begin to condense into a little box.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Two or Three? I'm not sure how to answer this...I don't tend to be awestruck. That doesn't mean I'm never impressed or affected, I just tend to find a way to be content and grateful for my experiences instead of in awe.

One experience I'm grateful for is my 10 years as a ballet dancer. I learned more about discipline and freedom and if given the chance I'd go back and do it all again.
