ABOUT ME

I love fresh experiences, I love learning, and I love meeting new people with whom I connect. I'm generally optimistic. I have a lot of drive and am good at attaining things I want, yet can also be perfectly content in idleness when the time is appropriate. I will find humor in just about any situation. Overall, I would describe myself as a balanced person, and someone who is very passionate about life.

Interests

Most intriguing to me is the study of the human mind. I'm going to school to become a neuropsychologist with hopes of becoming a professor at a university some day. I love learning about the brain and am especially interested in the subject of consciousness. I'm also a French minor, je parle francais mais pas parfaitement, haha. I've played music since I was 13 and it's a big part of my life. I listen to a lot of genres but some of my favorite groups are Don Caballero, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Battles, and The Octopus Project. Also here's mah band Eyes of Iron if you care to hear it: eyesofiron.bandcamp.com When I'm not studying or playing music I enjoy riding motorcycles, mountain biking, swimming in natural bodies of water, reading, surfing the nets, drinking coffee, and eating sushi (not at the same time though).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once got to watch the sun rise from the top of a volcano in Maui. We were above the clouds as the sun came up, then got to coast bikes all the way down the mountain. Pretty neat stuff.
