About Me
I'm finally a digital nomad! After 5 years teaching English in Asia, I retrained as a programmer in order to work online and have more control over my location. Now I'm determined to travel as much as possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet cool new people when I'm traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm interested in the whole history of bizarre and subversive literature, from Sherlock Holmes and HP Lovecraft through to Chuck Palahniuk and Stephen King. The Jeeves and Wooster stories of PG Wodehouse have a special place in my heart.
My favorite philosopher is Spinoza, and I've been strongly influenced by Alan Watts and Joseph Campbell. Even so, I consider myself to be a scientific rationalist.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The skyline of Hong Kong, the roads of Saigon, and the clubs in Osaka. In the US I once saw New York Harbor and less than a week later was on Venice Beach. I've driven the entire length of California Route 1. Oh, and a four-day hiking trip in Iceland where the weather was completely different each day (snow and ice on day 1, clouds and rain on day 2, dry flatlands on day 3, and strong winds on day 4)
